Tips for working with others in a team setting, or office environment:

  • Refrain from statements like "I did it" or "I can do it better alone" - You don't want to insult others who may have contributed or tried to be helpful. Supervisors like to know that you are a team player who works well, collaboratively with others.

  • If you have a large work load and often have to "work late", be conscientious of the feelings you display on the matter. If you're not happy about working late, try not to disclose this to your superiors. Your boss wants to see that you're committed to the job, and that your a "hard worker". In fact, working late with a good attitude will promote you further as a "hard working" employee when review time comes around.
